Erode district has published a proposed revision of its property guideline values, the rates used to work out stamp duty, to fix errors in the current list, and is inviting public objections for 15 days through a Collector-led Valuation Sub-Committee. This is a draft, not yet final, so anyone registering property in Erode or Gobichettipalayam over the next few weeks should check whether the draft rate for their village has changed before assuming the old guideline value still applies.
